China Lady Qi-pao Store was founded by Ms. Ning Li. Ms. Li came to the United States for studying in 1999. In spring of the year 2000 she went back to her home town China for a short visit that changed her life.

While her staying in China She noticed that clothing strived from Traditional Chinese Women's Dress--Qi-pao was very popular in Chinese fashion market.There was a hot weave for national broadcasters, hostesses and famous actresses to show up on TV or Movies in Qi-pao like dresses and accessories. Fashion followers are catching up with this trend. The new designs used pieces of the traditional elements, such as the collar, the sleeve, the material, the botton, and combined with modern concept such as comfortbleness, sexiness and convenience. After the modern designers're-designing, they look very fashionable and can absolutely go international.

This inspired Ms. Li. After one-year staying in America, she noticed that American culture is very diverse. Different cultures from all over the world exist equally. The amount of people who are open and receptive to different cultures and willing to experience them is huge. In a few occations she did see people wear Chinese dressess in high-scale parties. She thinks the potential for promoting renovated Chinese traditional dress is huge. Therefore she started a business of selling customer-made Chinese Qi-pao for all occations--China Lady Qi-pao Store. Besides Qi-pao, she also sells matching accessories which also are of Chinese Traditional Elements.
